Jewelry Care
How do I clean jewelry?
Mix some soap with warm water and scrub the item with a soft toothbrush. Toothbrushes are ideal for cleaning jewelry that has hard-to-reach corners. If the dirt persists, carry out the same process in clean water. Important: Gold-plated pieces require greater care. Intense scrubbing can lead to the loss of the bath, so it is important to do it subtly to avoid wear and tear on the bath.
A specific silver polishing cloth is a great tool to make your jewelry shine again if it has become blackened over time. However, this technique will not eliminate any scratches or dings that the piece may have.
If the jewelry has stones, cleaning must be done using the ultrasound technique. We recommend you go to your nearest point of sale. Take your jewel to a Luxenter jewelry store once a year to have it inspected, cleaned and given that shine again with a silver or gold plating. (with cost, if it is not considered a manufacturing defect)
How to extend the life of the jewel?
Always protect them from potential impacts. Even the diamond can break or rub in case of repeated knocks or impacts. Periodically check the setting. Clean the jewelry if the stones lose their shine or appear dull.
How to care for gemstones?
By applying some simple tips you will keep the jewel in its original state for a long time. The permanent contact of the jewel with the skin and its exposure to weather conditions, pollution or shocks require care and attention in return.
Store jewelry in an individual case, or in a separate compartment of a jewelry box. Chains should be closed, wrapped and laid flat to prevent knots from forming.
Avoid all contact with cosmetic or household products, as these contain ingredients that could discolor jewelry and watches.
Handle jewelry with care and remove it to wash your hands or when using corrosive products that may irreparably damage the precious metal, stones or pearls.
Choose the jewelry based on your activities and avoid proximity to sources of intense heat.
Before wearing the jewel, check that the clasp and that the stone setting has not moved. If in doubt, it is best not to wear the jewelery before it can be checked at a Luxenter jewelery store.
